Yesterday I was dreading because I had to have a CT Scan and drink the two bottles of Barium that they give you to light up your organs. Well, as much as I was dreading it, it was a good thing I went because they found that I had a blood clot located on my Iliac Artery on my hip. Since being diagnosed with my Cancer I had a tumor compressing that artery. Now I don't know if the clot is from the tumor compressing it or if it the tumor shrunk and it is caused by the damage the tumor made and that's it way of healing. Either way I have to take a shot of Lovenox (Enoxaparin) twice a day into my stomach. They are small needles and don't hurt but they leave me with bruises. I have to do it every day for a month. I could be doing it from three to six months. I really hope I don't have to do it for that long, but we shall see. They said that if they didn't catch it, it could have gone to my lungs and then we would have had some problems. Thank God I have insurance or each syringe would cost $100. It's ridiculous.
::Let's cross our fingers::
I will probably have to go back again in a month for another CT to see if my blood clot is gone too. Again, let's cross our fingers.
Today Travis and I went out to lunch with my mom and step dad. We went for Mexican and it was so good. That is one thing I am happy to have since moving back to the States. After lunch we went back to their house and sat a while and then came home. It was nice to be able to sit outside, even though it was a little chilly. Tomorrow we are going to bring our niece and nephew (my sister and her ex husband's kids) with us up north to Travis' parent's house for the weekend so they can go swimming and hang out with our other niece and nephew (Travis' brother and his wife's kids from Poland). They are similar in age and should have a good time together.
I have also been off of my Regorafenib for three days and my symptoms of the "sunburn feeling" have gone away and I found out that most tumors in my lungs shrunk, my Liver tumor shrunk but the others have stayed the same. I am so happy. I am really hoping that this clinical trial drug is working. Now if only the main tumor (the bastard) would shrink. Although it's only been three weeks. So maybe in time it will get them all.
::Let's keep praying::
Anyway that's all that has been going on these last few days. I am happy to finally have some good news. As I have said before, it can only go up from here, at least I hope so.
