Transfusion today. I had to get a double dose of blood because my Hemoglobin levels were a little low yesterday. So I had to be there at 10:45 AM and I was there for about five hours! Travis and I packed some healthy snacks to eat like Carrots, Grapes and we made Turkey sandwiches on Whole Wheat bread. When they asked if we wanted to order anything for lunch we ordered a Chicken Salad and split that. So we ate pretty healthy today. Except for dinner, we had Chinese. (-_-)<- depressed face, but it was SO good. I know how can you do good all day and then mess up at dinner?
Anyway, my transfusion went well, no problems with my port or anything which is a good thing.
The most stressful thing about today was for Travis. He was on the phone for a couple of hours just trying to get things situated for when we (if we go) go to Mayo Clinic. Apparently, the letter that Dr. J had written for us to bring to the clinic so we could get into a clinical trial, cannot be accepted because they won't accept it from a patient, a doctor has to personally give them the letter, whether it be in person or fax or whatever. So we were a little irritated about that. Oh and that if we don't have the letter and insurance doesn't cover it then we will have to pay a down payment of $5,000!
Then he called the insurance company and they said that first they need a letter from Mayo Clinic asking them to process the trial through insurance and then they said no the letter has to be from our doctor. So we called Dr. J's office and told them everything and eventually they said: "Oh, well we are supposed to be in charge of handling all of this, not you, " but they never gave us a reason on why they originally had us handle everything, so now hopefully everything will get situated before Sunday, because Monday is when we are supposed to be in Minnesota. It's like geez is there anything else we have to stress over?
Last night I didn't sleep too well, again, so I was dragging ass all day. I went to bed at 10:30 PM because I didn't sleep too well the night before either, and then I woke up at 12:30 AM and was up for two hours. Then I went to sleep until 7:00 AM. I took a little nap during my transfusion but not too long. I also started taking my diuretic ("potty pill") this morning and at first I really didn't think they were working because I didn't have to pee a lot, but of course once I was at the hospital I had to pee like once or twice an hour. I really hope that this diuretic works because this swelling really needs to go down and so does some of my weight, because I have recently been called a fatty already on Twitter and that kind of hurt. If a person who can just see a profile photo of just my face can say that, then what are people who can see me physically thinking?
I really have to try harder tomorrow. Less portions for sure and I need to eat slower, and drink more water. I know I can do it....I just have to focus and put my mind to it. Just like everything else I do.
Hopefully tomorrow I can also edit my photos from this past week from when Travis and I went to the botanical gardens in Milwaukee, and I have to finish putting together the photos in my wedding album, and I want to either crochet my blanket, start a Japan scrapbook, do my puzzle that I have been working on, make jewelry, or do something else. *Sigh* So many projects, so little time. I will figure out something to do before going to my mom and step dad's house for dinner.
Anyway, thank you for reading my posts. The other day I had a little over 250 readers, I couldn't believe it. I would like to keep it that way or possibly have more. (^_^) <3 Again, thanks for reading! Much Love!.
Oh! and everything with my Echocardiogram that I had taken yesterday of my heart looks good. So yay!
<('_'<) <('_')> ^('_')^ (>'_')> That's my happy dance.

*Also I am sorry if you are getting links for coupons. I checked what my blog looks like from a "reader's perspective" and I saw that random words were highlighted and had a link for a coupon. I don't know if it's just my computer having ads or your's too, so like I said. I didn't put the links in.
