Fishing is such a great way to relax. Well that is if you like fishing. Today me, Travis, my dad and my brother Nick went fishing and we had a great time. I caught two fish and Travis and Nick caught one, my dad unfortunately didn't catch any. It was so nice to actually get out of the house after a few weeks in the hospital and a week in the house. Granted it wasn't super sunny out, in fact it was overcast and it was a little humid, but overall it was a nice atmosphere.
Tomorrow I have to meet with my surgeon to check on my staples. My nurse, as well as myself, think that he will probably take them out. They aren't bothersome but I am not too fond on having the nurse come every day to pack my wound. She said that the outer part of my wound is healed but there is a small hole that has a "tunnel" underneath and it needs to be closed. My nurse said that it might need to be flushed out, have a drainage system put in, or even have a minor surgery to get all of the drainage cleaned out. I am really hoping I don't have to get the surgery.
Lately I have been having to use a portable toilet to use the bathroom because it's too hard for me to walk down the hallway, or to have Travis push me down the hallway in my wheelchair and then for me to get my walker to walk into the bathroom. Because of this I have to shun my dad to the other room when I need to use the bathroom. Today was the first day that I tried to use the bathroom and even though it was a success it was really difficult, but at least I can say I did it.
Well that's what has happened today and even though it wasn't much it definitely was tiresome. Every day for the rest of the week I will be visiting other doctors. Let's hope for good news.
